After a disastrous 8-month episode with a “sit and wait” realtor, that quit on us, I began interviewing realtors. Being very skeptical after the bad experience, I vetted 5 realtors. 4 realtors were EXACTLY THE SAME, announcing that they are the “best realtor”, “lots of positive sales”, and “quick turnaround”, but Josh Finigan was not of that churn and burn style realtor.
Josh arrived on time and was very interested in our private 9-acre residence. He had already done his homework and was very open and transparent regarding how much the property will sale for. I said that I wanted to list it for more and he said it would not sale and he probably couldn’t help me, WOW!
He proceeded to explain exactly WHY the property needed to list for an amount that he suggested, providing several properties in our proximity that had sold, and properties currently on the market. I was convinced that Josh Finigan was far above the average realtors I had interviewed.
Without knowing anything about the bad realtor experience, Josh proceeded to show me hundreds of examples of The Finigan Process of marketing my property. None of the realtors I interviewed had half the means and marketing efforts Josh and his team were prepared to offer.
Josh was the obvious choice to sell the property. Within 2 days of signing, his team were on-site taking new and better pictures of the home and property. The ball was rolling almost immediately and within 5 days, it was listed again.
One thing Josh repeated: “This is a unique property, lots of land and a manufactured home.” I totally agreed that it is unique, and privacy is a huge selling point. He estimated the sale taking 2-3 months. WE WERE UNDER CONTRACT WITHIN 30 DAYS!
I declined the initial offer, but during that time, Josh was phenomenal with his negotiating skills. He was very communicable, transparent and respectful during the entire process. I knew everything as it happened and he advised me along the way, providing options and best-case scenarios. It was totally my decision to end negotiations and re-list the property.
After Josh’s team re-listed the property, there were numerous showings and interests. I received several offers and Josh helped me decide on the best one. With his guidance, we closed the sale in less than 30 days.

I have so many great things I’d like to share about our experience with The Finigan Group, but here are a few bullet points:- Communication was freaking awesome!- The education they provide is genuinely helpful.- When under contract, Josh really got to work and made sure all went smoothly, and everyone involved did their part.Most people that know my wife and I well—and Josh can attest to this from our interactions throughout this process—know that she takes the reigns on big decisions. The pressure was on when she left it up to me to pick a real estate agent as we took the first steps towards our long-time dream of owning a house and moving closer to family in the Charlotte area.I took my assignment seriously; researching many agents for almost a year before I settled. I closed on my home yesterday thanks to Josh, Katie and the rest of the Finigan Group. My initial sit down with him was informative and to the point, it was made clear where we stood immediately just looking at the data. A plan was made and the process had begun. It was fairly hands off considering the paperwork needed for a home sale. Any paperwork needing to be done was almost exclusively through DocuSign which made the process easy in that everything is made available on your phone or other devices. The viewings process was straight forward as well with the ability to set what times work for you, and the platform used made it simple. Closing was also painless and a breeze. If anyone should ask me who I would recommend for their next hone sale or purchase, there is only one group of people I would recommend, and that would be the Finigan Group. 1. History

Pineville, incorporated in 1873, was named for the large and abundant pines that cast their shadows over the community. At that time it was known as a mule trading center, being located at the intersection of 2 major Native American trading routes.

Pineville NC later became a stagecoach stop, being a frequent stop for the Charlotte NC and Columbia SC railroads. The railroad was Pineville’s first step to the “modern” world. It was around this time that the name was officially changed to Pineville NC. Pineville has continued to steadily grow until the recent decades where Pineville has absolutely BOOMED with growth and demand.

Fun fact: Pineville NC is the birthplace of the 11th president, James K. Polk. If you would like a taste of history, you can go visit a re-creation of his home, at the President James K. Polk State Historic Site.

4. Things to do in Pineville

Downtown Belmont is a classic downtown scene complete with dining, retail, bars and plenty of entertainment. Here’s a list of our favorites!

Lake Park–Lake Park is a scenic and beautiful aspect for the Town of Pineville. There are countless things to do in the park like fishing, playgrounds, swinging, and walking. Lake Park is an ideal location for picnics, family reunions, birthdays, and special events.

Pintville Craft beer – Pintville Craft Beer is a bar and bottle shop with over 20 local craft beers on tap, which can be enjoyed with the various rotating food trucks out front. You can look at what beers they have each day at untappd.com. Pintville is very close to Kit’s Trackside Crafts, another tap room and bottle shop, where you can find 24 local and regional beers on tap, a new cask offering every week, and over 350 bottles of wine in house.

Waldhorn Restaurant – Waldhorn Restaurant was opened in 1999 by husband and wife Thomas and Gitta Maier, both professional chefs who wanted to pay tribute to their German roots. They serve traditional German cuisine and a wide selection of beer. You can even become a member of their Beer Club!

Pineville Ice House – At Pineville Ice House, you can play hockey, attend skating school, or take advantage of their public skating hours. Public skate is $10 per person, and includes rental skates. Take note, though, that music played on Saturdays and Sundays may be more family appropriate than the music played during Friday night free skate, which is geared more towards teens and adults.

Go Trampolining at Sky High – Sky High in Pineville NC has a variety of activities for everyone. The main trampoline court is nearly the size of a football field, and there is also a high ropes course and dodgeball arena, in addition to a toddler area and basketball court. Sky High also has a lounge area and snack bar when you’re ready to take a break from the action.

The Garrison– Nestled in a charming historic downtown Pineville building that dates back to the 1890s, The Garrison will offer indoor and outdoor seating, a full service classic cocktail bar, upstairs dining, and modern American cuisine.
